No excuses; these are the people who are the victims of Katrina... donate ASAP, and when you have a chance donate some more. Money, time, non-perishables and essentials, and prayers... Reputable organizations such as here and here will appreciate the aid, as will the displaced citizens of the Gulf Coast and affected states.

...and a challenge to all my DJ/promoter types (aspiring, established, and otherwise); for the next few weeks, donate a portion of your gig checks, project work, cover fees, or whatever... Good looking out to Noixe, Fredro, and others (Nomadik, Jay Smooth, etc.) who are already stepping up with ideas and events to contribute through DJ work...

I just moved across town to my new spot, and I actually made 2 extra trips rather than dumping some stuff in the garbage or leaving it at the old place, just so that I could wake up and drive back across town the day after to drop off bags of clothes and canned goods. XL and XXL t-shirts, pants, and food are on their way...
